Of the amaurobes ( Amaurobiidae ) gathers exclusively night Araignée S cribellates. They are spiders of intermediate size, of in theory dark color, energy of brown with the gray and with, at some let us tax, with the series of white spots on the back.

Their former median eyes are black, the other eyes being, because of the night lifestyle, white-grisâtres. The céphalothorax comprises a cephalic part very distinct from the thoracic part. The Chélicère S are relatively large. The tarsus S either are deprived of Trichobotrie S, or have a line of it at most. Similar to the Agelenidae, these species are characterized some however by shorter legs and Filière S much smaller.

They weave irregular fabrics, with the easily recognizable bluish reflections. They manufacture a tubular retirement, against the walls or under the stones.
