Amara Essy
Amara Essy is a Politician and Diplomate of the Ivory Coast, born the December 20th 1944 with Bouaké (Ivory Coast).
Near to Felix Houphouët-Boigny, it was Foreign Minister Ivory Coast between 1990 and 2000, president of the General meeting of the United Nations between 1994 and 1995 (49e session).
In 2001, he becomes general secretary of the Organization of African Unity (OAU). In July 2002, with the creation of the African Union, it becomes about it the temporary president of the Commission until in 2003 with the election of Alpha Oumar Konaré.
