Translation

Bengal gilded
My gilded Bengal, I love you
Your skies, your air always make sing
Like a flute my heart.
In the month of Phagoun, O my mother,
the perfume of your mango trees
transports Me joy,
Ah, what a giddiness!
In the month of agrahan, O my mother,
In the gilded fields,
I saw soft smiles, all to be covered!
Ah, which “antchal” of beauty, shades, affection
And tenderness.
you extended to the foot of the banians and along banks!
O my mother, the words of your lips
Are nectar with my ears!
Ah, what a giddiness! ,
If sadness, O my mother, throws her veil on your face,
My eyes fills of tears!
