Faurecia is a French company of equipment Automobile.
History
The group is born from the fusion of ECIA, subsidiary of PSA Peugeot Citroen and Epeda-Bertrand Faure. Faurecia remains a subsidiary company with 71,25% of PSA.
In 2001, Faurecia buys automobile equipment To summon-Allibert and integrates a new whole of products: the instrument panel, the interior panel of door and the sound-proofing.
In 2006, Faurecia was the 8th world automobile equipment, while being world number 2 in its principal trades (seats, etc) and absent from others. In 2005, it is the 3rd European automobile equipment (seats, cockpits, systems of exhaust, etc), and 2nd in 2006.

Faurecia business
In July 2006, German justice opened an investigation against Pierre Lévi, chairman of Faurecia, bearing into suspicions of payments of bribes to executives of the car manufacturers of BMW and Volkswagen. After having admitted knowing about these intrigues, Pierre Levi with given his resignation to the board of directors of Faurecia on August 2nd 2006. The business would imply the marks Vokswagen, Audi, BMW and Seat, but of other equipment suppliers as Lear would be aimed.
