Amancey
Amancey is a common French, located in the department of the Doubs and the area Franche-Comté.
Geography
History
The village appears in the texts at the 12th century, integrated into the parish of Fertans. After the crises of XIVe, Amancey enjoys a considerable rise which propels it to the 1st rank of the localities of the plate. The population increases regularly, passing from 100 hearts in 1476 with more than 800 in 1851.With the revolution, Amancey is released from the supervision of Fertans thanks to Alexandre BESSON (1758-1826), whose brilliant political career in the National Assemblies flashes back on her native village. In October 1790, Amancey is promoted place chief of canton. Creation of the parish in 1805.
