Amadeus is a play of Peter Shaffer putting in scene a biographical novel of Mozart, being focused especially on the competition of Mozart and the type-setter of the court, Salieri. The part inspired film of Milos Forman, Amadeus (1984).
The play itself is inspired by a novel of Pouchkine: Mozart and Salieri .
