Amédée de Vallombrosa
the count Amédée Manca-Amat de Vallombrosa (March 24th 1880 Cannes - February 9th 1968 Paris) is an organist and type-setter.
He is the son of Ricardo Manca-Amat, duke of Vallombrosa and Asinara and Genevieve of Pérusse of the Bus. He is the brother of the Marquis de Morès. He is the pupil, substitute and friend of the large organist Charles-Marie Widor. He also composed some parts.
In spite of its family fortune, it very early dedicates its life to the music and the organ. Before succeeding in 1910 Camille Rage the large organ of the church Saint-Leu-Saint-Gilles, while also occupying the post of choirmaster.
He marries on November 17th, 1906 Adrienne Lannes de Montebello. Their daughter Roselyne (September 19th, 1910 Paris Ansouis August 21st, 1988) wife in 1936 Foulques 7th duke of Sabran.
In 1928, it succeeds Felix Raugel as choirmaster of the church Saint-Eustace.
Simple character, it refuses to propose his title, seeking to make known itself only by his music.
He continues to work the music until the end of his life; more than 80 years, he still plays on the choir organ of the church Saint-Eustace.
