Amédée IX of Savoy
Amédée IX of Savoy , known as the Happy , born with Thonon-the-Baths the 1435, died with Vercelli the March 30th 1472, was duke of Savoy, prince de Piémont, count d' Aoste and of Maurienne of 1465 with 1472. It was wire of Louis Ier, duke of Savoy, prince de Piémont, count d' Aoste and of Maurienne, and Anne de Lusignan.
Epileptic, it was little been willing to reign, and the authority was exerted by his wife Yolande de France and by her brother Philippe, count de Bresse. He preferred to devote himself to piety and was béatifié in 1677.
