Alwin Karl Haagner
Alwin Karl Haagner is a South-African ornithologist , born in 1880 and died in 1962.
He works for the Transvaal Museum starting from 1906 where he starts to train a rich person collection ornithology. Haagner leaves the natural history museum in 1911 where it is replaced by Austin Roberts (1883-1948). He becomes the director of the Zoological garden of Pretoria. It is interested in the National park Kruger and plays a big role in work leading to the National Parks Acts of 1926.
He is the author of Sketches off South African Bird-Life .
