Alvarez Kelly is an American film carried out by Edward Dmytryk, left in 1966.
Synopsis
With the accesses of Richmond (the capital of the Southerners), during the American Civil War, the Northerners accommodate a herd of cattle led by a considered specialist, Alvarez Kelly. Confédérés with the aguets decides to seize this provisioning for their account. Their army is done needy, this food in abundance becomes an important issue but they need also the man who has the qualifications necessary to convoy the herd.
Comment
Edward Dmytryk approaches this film of war, at the same time western, in a rather original way. It is the provisioning of the troops, strategic aspect little treated by films of the kind.
