Alton Towers

Alton Towers is a park with topics located on the commune of Alton in the Staffordshire (England, the United Kingdom). It is built on the site of an old strengthened house. Alton Towers is a property of Tussauds Group, subsidiary of Merlin Entertainments.

History

The park offers, not far from its thematized attractions, of the English gardens dominated by old buildings of style built at the time of the British Empire. It is about old strengthened houses and their dependences. These buildings notemment include/understand turns from where the field and the park draw their names. The field was the seat of the Counts de Shrewsbury until in 1990, year of its repurchase by Tussauds Group.

The amusement park

The park is very famous among amateurs of strong feeling and amusement parks. It has 8 Russian Montagnes and a range of attractions very diversified (dark watery wrinkles, attractions, horse-gears,…).

The park is divided into zones sets of themes made up each one of various attractions. A Télécabine serving three of these zones allows a fast displacement inside the park.

Hotels

The park is supplemented by 2 hotels, the Alton Towers hotel and the Splash Landings hotel . This last also includes/understands a watery Parc: Cariba Creek, thematized with the manner of a tropical Lagoon and composed of a covered part and an external part.

A Monorail connects the hotels to the park.
