Altered Beast
Altered Beast (or 獣王記 Jūōki with the Japan) is a Beat them all of Sega, left in 1988 on Sega System 16.
Scenario
The play takes seat in the ancient Greece, the player directs a hero ressuscity by Zeus to save his/her daughter, Athéna, removed by Hadès the god of the Hells.
Gameplay
The player directs a character, who can jump, give punches and of foot, and which progressively of its projection in the levels composing the play collects pastilles which make it change. The transformation passes by several phases (which are as many pastilles to be collected): the character gains first of all in muscle and force, then transforms himself into animal having great capacities. The transformation changes with each level, successively a Loup-garou, a dragon, a Ours, a man tiger and finally a Loup-garou gilded.

To note
- Altered Beast is the first play left on the European Megadrive and the Genesis.
- At the beginning of the play there are two tombs with the names of Stella and Alex, it acts of the two protagonists of the play Alex Kidd on Master System.
- a Borne of arcade Altered Beast appears in a film of 1998, a killer for target with Chow Yun Fat in the main role.
- the monster with two legs fighting with its tail resembling a griffon also appears in the play Golden Centers Sega.
