Alpine stage
In the mountainous solid masses of the moderated areas, the alpine stage is included/understood between 2300-2500 m with approximately 3000 m of altitude. It belongs to the five stages of the vegetation.
Flora
The alpine stage marks a Limite of the trees, one does not find any more a Feuillu S nor of Conifère S. Seuls the Alpage S and the Arbuste S remain at this altitude.
Fauna
One meets there the Chamois or the Isard S, the Bouquetin S, and the Marmotte S which it is possible to meet on the sunny slopes because they like the sun (slope Adret). It is the field of predilection of the pets (Mouton S, Vache S and Chevaux) which come brouter the mountain pastures the summer.
