Alphonse Pénaud
Alphonse Pénaud (1850-1880) was a French pioneer of the Aviation of the 19th century, inventor of the model of plane Planaphore propelled by a ring engine of rubber. It built models of Ornithoptère S and models with Hélice. With Paul Gauchot it designed a seaplane provided with a retractable Gear landing. It committed suicide in 1880.
