Alphonse Joseph Charles Dubois is a Belgian Naturaliste , born 1839 with Aachen and died in 1920 with Coxyde-on-Sea.
After its title of doctorate of medicine, it becomes preserving in 1869 at the department of the Vertébrés to the royal Natural history museum of natural history of Brussels.
He works with his father, Charles Frederic Dubois (1804-1867), on its work the Birds of Europe and their eggs and completes it after its death in 1868 and the fact of appearing in 1872. The book includes/understands two volumes, the second, containing the boards, is the work of his/her father.
It makes appear, of 1887 with 1894, the illustrated Fauna of Vertebrate of Belgium , followed by a handbook, Synopsis avium (two volumes, 1899-1904).
It takes its retirement with Coxyde-on-Sea.
