Allyl alcohol
A allyl alcohol is a Composé organics carrying a Groupement hydroxyl in allyl position. Allyl alcohol (2-propèn-1-ol) C3H6O or H2C=CH-CH2OH is a colorless liquid with prickly odor (not of boiling 97°C). One finds it in the fruits in decomposition.
One industrially prepares it by hydrolysis with the soda of allyl chloride, obtained by ridicalizing chlorination of the Propène. It is used as raw material for resins, plasticizers.
