Allowance
In administrative language, the allowance is a reduction in price. In the case of the French government contracts, the allowance is applied at the time of the observation of a difference of quality or quantity with the object which had been envisaged initially. For example, within the framework of a market of public works, bearing on the application of a seal of a track of an aerodrome, the representative of the capacity adjudicator noting a difference in quality of the joints, but not blaming the total existence of the service, can require an allowance of the price to the holder. The allowance is calculated then in the balance paid with the holder, taking account of the advances, installments, allowances, late penalties and interest on arrears.
