Alliance for Sweden

Alliance for Sweden (in Swedish: Allians för Sverige ) is a coalition of center-right in Sweden. Formed the August 31st 2004, it gained the general elections of September 17th, 2006.

Members of Alliance

Alliance for Sweden is made up of four parties of center-right:

The Left the moderate gathering ( Moderata Samlingspartieconduit in Swedish) led by Fredrik Reinfeldt.

The Left the Center ( Centerpartiet ) led by Maud Olofsson.

The Parti populates to them Libéraux ( Folkpartiet Liberalerna ) led by Lars Leijonborg.

The Left Christian Democrat ( Kristdemokraterna ) led by Göran Hägglund.

History of Alliance

The Swedish political was dominated by the social democrat Parti during more than 70 years. Since 1936, this party was continuously with the safe capacity during 9 years of 1976 with 1982 and of 1991 with 1994. The parties of the opposition estimated that the main reason was that they did not have enough visibility, that they were not able to represent a clear and viable alternative, suitable for form a government. These various parties thus decided to be linked to form an alliance. The August 31st 2004, at the conclusion of a meeting which took place in the village of Högfors in the residence of Maud Olofsson, president of the Parti the Center, the leaders of four opposition parties presented a Joint Declaration by underlining the principles whose the four parties planned to make countryside for the elections. One year later, a similar meeting was held with Bankeryd, in the residence of Göran Hägglund, chief of the Chrétiens-démocrates. Alliance was confirmed and another written declaration.

The Coalition, joined together around a common electoral program gained the elections of September 17th, 2006. After an agreement stipulating that the chief of the party having obtained the most voice becomes Prime Minister, Fredrik Reinfeldt, chief of moderate has been with the head of the first Gouvernement of right-hand side for 12 years.
