Allhaming

Allhaming is an Austrian commune, located in the district Linz-Land in High-Austria, at the edge of the highway of the west (A1).

Allhaming counted with the last census of 2001 1.028 inhabitants. The communes bordering on Allhaming are Neuhofen year der Krems, Kematen year der Krems, Eggendorf im Traunkreis, Weißkirchen year der Traun and Pucking.
Allhaming is divided into districts: Allhaming, Laimgräben, Lindach and Sipbach and this commune are almost in the middle of the urban triangle of Linz, Wels and Steyr. The commune is crossed by Sipbach.

The municipal council is composed of 13 members of which 8 belongs to the ÖVP and 5 with the SPÖ - the mayor Dr. Joachim Kreuzinger belongs to the ÖVP.

In the beginning, this commune belonged to the duchy of Bavaria. From the 12th century, it was attached to the duchy of Austria and after 1490, with the principality " Österreich ob der Enns". Since 1918, the commune belongs to High - Autriche.
The name of Allhaming is resulting from the name of anybody " Adalhelm" or " Adelhelm" (before 1000), Alhaiming (1277) and since 1850, after a communal reform, the commune is called Allhaming and existed under its current form.

The colors municipal are green green yellow One finds it in the blazon. It has been a few years that one introduced a typical folk costume of the commune, for which one can choose the colors of the blazon (green, yellow, blue and red).

A monument coming from the church of Allhaming is now in the collection of objets d'art of the monastery of Kremsmünster, it is the furnace bridge of Wendelin Saint. A reproduction of original size is located in the church of Allhaming. The owner of the parish is Saint Georges and its festival takes place on April 23rd.

The commune maintains the privileged relations with common allemandes of Aholming and Osterbuch (Laugna commune).
