Alleutier

With the feudal time, a alleutier was a free Paysan. He had his own ground but placed himself nevertheless under the protection of a Seigneur. In exchange, it paid various Taxe S for the use of the Moulin S, Four S, Pont S, etc belonging to this one, and carried out Corvée S. On its side, the Seigneur placed it under his protection in the event of enemy attack. The agreement could be broken constantly and the alleutier to pass under the protection of another lord or to become autonomous. This last option being however completely unrealizable in the Feudal system.
