Allen Woodring
Allen Woodring , born the February 15th 1898 and deceased in November 1982, was a American athlete , Olympic champion on 200 m with the Olympic Games of summer of 1920.
Biography
One knows few things about Woodring, if they are not that it in the beginning had not been qualified for the Olympic Games of summer of 1920, finishing fifth of the American selections. Nevertheless, a chance was given to him to take part in the place of the selected fourth. After its arrival with Antwerp, its shoes were out of use and it which been able to get news of them. Finally it borrowed some from another runner for the duration of the competition.
Woodring made of it the best use finally of the 200 m, beating the favorite Charlie Paddock which had been crowned on 100 Mr.
