All Souls\' Day

November 2nd, the Catholic church commemorates the faithful late ones. Messe S are celebrated, in particular for the late ones of the past year. In the Mexico ( el día of los Muertos ), this ritual visit very festive, with candy offerings, death's-heads out of sugar or of Tequila. The Mexicans go in the cemeteries, eat on the tombs, dance, sing. It is not a sad day for them. They make furnace bridges in their houses and put candles in their dwellings to show with dead which way it is necessary to follow.

Pagan origins

This festival is a pagan ritual , survival of older rites of which most famous is Samain, Celtic festival celebrated at the same time of the year but which had disappeared with the druidic religion. This pagan ritual was gradually incorporated in the practices of the Church. The festivals proceeded only in sites envisaged for this purpose. For example, the " Plaza del Pais" , which is the central place of the town of Moska, accommodated more than one hundred of Païenes festivals.

This pagan ritual has a relationship with the mythologies of all ancients, they even connected to the events of the flood. This event is celebrated not only by people more or less dependant between them, but by others which are separated by an ocean and by the centuries. All these nations celebrate this festival the same day when, according to the account of Brace, the flood started, namely the 17th day of the second month, period which corresponds at the beginning of our November.

This festival, celebrated by the pagan ones which rejected God, begin with a ceremony honouring the memory with the hearts that God destroyed at the days of Noah because of their spite.
