Alix (cartoon)

Created in 1948, Alix is the hero of a Cartoon with the editions Casterman whose intrigues proceed at the time of Jules César with Rome, in Gaulle, Mésopotamie, Africa and Asia Mineure.

It is daring, brave, courageous, generous, charitable, tolerant and especially deeply human. It is faithful in friendship and defends the right causes. He does not hesitate to be opposed and betray César, when it is Pompée which defends freedom. Its origins are multiple: born as a Gaulle, separated from his parents, sold like slave in Parthes, then friendly of César and enemy of Pumped, it has evil to know which it is really. It sticks to Enak, the Egyptien orphan. Several women fall in love with him like Lydia Octavia, its during female, or Adréa, a proud and superb queen… He however hesitates to fix himself and the defense and the peace of the people always provide him a pretext to set out again.

Authors

Jacques Martin is the creator of Alix. He has policy-holder a long time only the scenarios and the drawing of the series. From 1998 to 2005, Rafael Moralès draws the series in collaboration with Marc Henniquiau, while Jacques Martin continues to prepare the scenarios, cutting and the installation. One second team was born in 2004, with the operational startup of a new album, drawn by Cédric Hervan, which now yielded its place to Christophe Simon. Since the album " It was in Khorsabad" (2006), Jacques Martin stopped making cuttings and the drafts of each board as it had the practice until there of it, in spite of his age and its problems of sight. He thus carries out now synopses (summarized rather short but complete of the intrigue) and it is a scenario writer who is in charge of the page layout. After François Maingoval, it is with the turn of Patrick Weber to assume this task for the album 26 Ibère (November 2007) with Christophe Simon for the drawings. Parallel to the Simon-Weber team, a second team installation itself, consisted of the Belgian draftsman Ferry, always associated with Weber. This team will carry out " The city engloutie" , the 28th episode of the series.
