Alija Izetbegović

Alija Izetbegović (August 8th 1925, Bosanski Samac, Kingdom of Serb, Croatian and Slovenien the (currently Bosnia-Herzégovine) - October 19th 2003, Sarajevo, Bosnia-Herzégovine) is a politician and a philosopher.

Biography

After the removal of its family with Sarajevo in the years 1930, it made there its studies with the normal college for boys. He becomes member of the Moslem Humanitarian organization during the Second world war this traditionalist group wanted to be to be a rampart against the drifts of modern Islam. Joining the large mufti of Jerusalem Husseini, admiror of Hitler, Izetbegovic takes part, since 1943, with the formation of the S Moslems of division " handchar" , an Arab term indicating a knife intended for sticking. This division S will be sent on the Soviet face after having supported German divisions
