Alif

The alif (in Arab rear RTL ألف, ʼalif, or simply rear RTL ا) is the first letter of the Arabic alphabet. It symbolizes the Single one which only is, That of which no one to be does not precede the Being.
In the Arab penmanship, and in particular in the cursive writing or naskhi, the alif one is used as module i.e. of element first in function of which the size of the other characters is proportioned.
Its value in the Arab Numération is 1.
