Alicia de Larrocha
Alicia de Larrocha of the Hold is a Spanish Pianiste there born with Barcelona the May 23rd 1923.
Biography
His/her mother is a pupil of Granados. Alicia begins the Piano at three years and takes its first courses with four with Franck Marshall with the Marshall Academy. She studies in parallel the musical Théorie with Riccardo Lamote de Grignon. The Spanish repertory the fascine well quickly, but its professor obliges it to pass initially by the “traditional ones” - Bach, Mozart, Chopin, Schumann, and Liszt. In 1940, it starts to carry out rounds, initially in its native land, then in the Spanish colonies. Alicia de Larrocha gained many prices throughout its career. In 1994, it receives the Prix Prince of Asturies. In 1995, Alicia de Larrocha is the first Spanish artist has to obtain the Price of the Music of UNESCO. The Foundation Jacinto Guerrero of Madrid decreed its Price in 1999 to him.
