Alice Pruvot-Fol

Alice Pruvot-Fol , born Fol, is a malacologist French E, born in 1873 and died in 1972.

This specialist in the Mollusque S Opisthobranche S is the author of many news S, the majority described on preserved specimens. She even described a new species ( Nembrotha rutilans , Pruvot-Fol, 1931) on the basis of illustration drawn from the book of William Saville-Kent (1845-1908), The Great Barrier Reef off Australia .

She continues to almost work and describe new species until her death. She describes thus, in 1962, at 89 years, Phyllidia pulitzeri .

She receives the Prix Gadeau de Kerville of the zoological Company of France in 1937.
