Ali Ibn Al-Athîr
Abu Al-Hassan Aldine Ali 'izz Kurdish ibn Al-Athir historian Sunnite (born in 1160 with Cizre, died in 1233 with Mosul). Its principal work is Al-Kamil fi Al-Tarikh the ( the history supplements or Somme of the stories , Ca 1231), regarded as one of most important books of history of the Muslim world. It is also one of principal the chroniclers arabo-Moslems of the Croisades of which he was an eyewitness, having taken part in the holy war (Djihad) against the Third crusade.
His/her two brothers (cf) are them also distinguished, the elder one like well-read man specialist in the tradition and the language, the junior like literary criticism. They played a certain political role, the first with the service of prince Zangide of Mosul, the second of Saladin then of his/her son, Malik Al-Afdhal.
