Ali Hassan Salameh
Ali Hassan Salameh (rear RTL عليحسنسلامة) was born in 1940 with Lydda (today Lod) and died assassinated the January 22nd 1979 with Beirut. Its name within the Fatah is Abou Hassan (rear RTL أبوحسن). He was the leader of a " black September " , not to confuse with Black September of Abou Iyad.
Biography
Born from a Palestinian rich family, her father the Sheikh Hassan Salameh, a combatant close to the Hadj Amin Al-Husseini, is killed in 1948. He leaves to make his studies in Germany, then, in the middle of the years 1960, he becomes civil servant of PLO to the Kuwait and he militated secretly for the Fatah, where he was later allowed with the revolutionary Conseil.
In 1968, Abou Iyad sends it in Egypt to follow a military formation there. It is also said that it was sent in Soviet Union. He becomes thereafter chief of the intelligence services and against-espionage in Jordan.
After the events of black September, it must leave its station in Jordan, like its place within the revolutionary Council. It then joined Arafat for which it will create the Force 17.
He is regarded as the principal instigator of the Prise hostages of the Olympic Games of Munich in 1972.
He organizes strong operations thus, such as for example the diversion of a plane of the Sabena to Lod (in the past Lydda), or the attack against oil installations of Trieste, thus cutting the access to the oil of a great number of European countries.
He gradually will become the privileged interlocutor of the CIA.
Within the framework of the Operation Anger of God, it is killed in the explosion of its Chevrolet, on January 22nd, 1979.
Abou Hassan was married with Miss Universe 1971, the Miss Lebanon Georgina Rizk.
