Ali Azaykou

Ali Sidqi Azaykou (1942 - 2004), also called Dda Ali , was a writer - Poète, Historien and Berber intellectual Morocco Ain. One of the most eminent militants of the “berberity” to the Morocco, it largely influenced the Berber cultural movements.

Biography

Ali Sidqi Azaykou was born 1942 at the village from Igran N tuinght in the High Atlas in the surroundings from Taroudant in the Under with the Morocco. He begins his primary studies close to his native village with Tafingoult, and finishes them with Marrakech, where he starts his secondary studies for then entering to the national school of the Masters (teachers), become famous. In 2003, he becomes member of the Administrative counsel of the IRCAM and Professor in the Center of the historical and environmental Studies. Ali Sidqi Azaykou dies on September 10th, 2004 with Rabat of the continuations of a long illness. In July 2004, the Moroccan area of the Under-Massed-Draâ baptized its festival Timitar , in homage under its poetic collection. In 2005, the IRCAM moreover published in its honor the work Hommage to Ali Sadki Azayku (Ircam, Rabat, 80 pages) in Arabic and Berber (Tifinagh).
