Ali Akbar Dehkhoda

Allameh Ali Akbar Dehkhoda (علیاکبردهخدا in Persan; 1879 - March 9th 1959) was a linguist Iran eminent IEN, and the author of the language dictionary the most complete Persian ever published.

He was also active in policy, and was appointed of Kerman and Teheran to the Majles. He was also senior of the school of Right of the Université of Teheran.

Biography

Dehkhoda was born with Teheran parents originating in Qazvin. His/her father died when it was only 10 years old. Dehkhoda quickly became excellent in Littérature Persian, in Arab language and French E then was graduate of Political sciences.

In 1903, it goes in the Balkans as an employee of the Iranian embassy, but returns two years later to be implied in the constitutional Révolution of Iran.

In Iran, Dehkhoda, Jahangir Khan and Ghasem Khan had published the newspaper Soor-e Esrafil during approximately two years, but the authoritative king that was Mohammad Ali Shah has dissolves the Parliament and outlaw Dehkhoda and other liberals in exile in Europe. From there, it continued to publish articles and leading articles, then, when Mohammad Ali Shah was deposited in 1911, it returned to the country and became member of the news Majles (Parliament).

It is buried with the cemetery Ebn-e Babooyeh with Rey in the south of Teheran.
