Ali Akbar Davar
Ali Akbar Davar علیاکبرداور , also known under the name of " Mirza Ali Akbar Khan-e Dāvar" born in 1885 and died is an Iranian politician the February 10th 1937. He is the founder of the modern legal system of the Iran.
He began his career in Iran, after having finished his studies at the school Dar ol-Fonoun of Teheran. He obtained then a diploma of right in Suisse. Of return in Iran in 1921, it founds the " Party radical". It also founds the newspaper Mard-e Azad مردآزاد|The free man , in which it publishes regularly.
He was elected with the 4ème, 5ème and 6ème Parliaments as a representative of Varamin.
Ali Akbar Davar belongs to these Iranian politicians who played a determining role in the vote for the abolition of the dynasty Qajar.
In 1925, Davar becomes commercial Minister in the government of Mohammad Ali Foroughi. It is appointed one year later Minister for the legal affairs in the government of Hassan Mostowfi.
In March 1926 it dissolves, with the approval of the Parliament, the Iranian legal system, impelling a wave of fundamental reorganization and reforms meticulous with the assistance of French experts in right.
The modern legal system of Iran was born in April 1927, with 600 judges lately named in Teheran. Davar then undertook to propagate this new system in other cities using a program which trained 250 judges.
One owes in Ali Akbar Davar the installation of the " Office of the businesses sociales" , the " law on the recording of the documents" , the " law on the recording of the propriété" and the " law on the marriage and the divorce".
Davar had also set up some reforms when he was Minister for Finance in the government Foroughi. It created the first insurance company public under the government of Mahmoud Jam and taken effective measures to save the State of the bankruptcy by amending the tax laws.
Ali Akbar Davar committed suicide the February 10th 1937.
