Algerian Riflemen
The Algerian Riflemen (later: regiments of Algerian riflemen ) (RTA), is units of infantry formed in Algérie of the time of the “French Algérie” and create in 1842.
History

1842 : creation of the indigenous Battalion of riflemen of Algiers .
- 1856 : Creation of the 1 {{er}} Regiment of Algerian Riflemen.
Behavior
Since 1853 until the end of the First World War
- Arab Jacket of form out of blue cloth sky bordered of one gallon flat of wool 12 mm broad jonquil. The front is decorated of an arabesque in gallon jonquil of 12mm finished out of clover under the hollow of the clavicle.
- the gallon makes a loop simulating a false pocket (tomb) whose color is distinctive regiment.
- the sleeve has a facing at a peak marked by one gallon jonquil of 12mm
- the Arab pants of form (Séroual) is out of blue cloth sky decorated with a cordonnet jonquil on the seams of with dimensions one.
