Algemene Inlichtingen- in Veiligheidsdienst
AIVD (Algemene Inlichtingen Veiligheidsdienst, general Service of information and safety), successor of the BVD (Binnenlandse Veiligheidsdienst, Security service domesticates), is the intelligence service of the Netherlands. Its general headquarter is located at Leidschendam-Voorburg. It evaluates the nonmilitary threats likely to weigh on the kingdom. The AIVD works in close cooperation with MI6, the CIA and NRO.
