Algeciras
The Algésiras was a linership of 74 guns of the Bold Classe being useful in the marine Frenchwoman builds with Lorient, in 1804, named in remembering the Bataille of Algeciras.
In 1805, it left for the Antilles with the '' Aigle '' to join the French fleet of the vice-admiral Villeneuve.
The October 23rd 1805, it took part in the Bataille of Trafalgar, under the orders of the rear-admiral Charles Magon. He faced Thundering HMS '' '' with bearing end, and Magon tried abroder the unfavourable ship, but the boarding failed under the heavy fire of the British and all the crew, except a sailor who was made prisoner, was killed. Magon also was killed him. The combat lasted approximately an hour, it opposed the guns of the Thundering to those of the Algésiras , the '' Pluton '', and of the '' San Juan Nepomuceno ''. Algésiras ends up going to the Thundering towards 14:30.
At the time of the storm which followed the battle, its crew revolted against the British and managed to take again the control of the ship. He returned then to Cadiz under French house.
In 1808, it was took by the Spaniards with other ships with Cadiz.
