Algabeño hijo

Jose García Carranza known as “Algabeño hijo” , born the February 26th 1902 with Algaba (Spain, Province of Seville), dead the December 30th 1936, was a Spanish Matador.

He was the son of Jose García Rodríguez “El Algabeño”, matador of the end of the XIX° and the beginning of the XX° century, but this heredity was not to him great help: his/her father opposed so that he embraces the dangerous trade of matador. He was regarded as one of best of his time, as well by his imposing presence as by the ascending one as he exerted on the bull.

Its career was short there, since it stopped it in 1929, following a serious undergone wound with Bayonne (France, department of the Yrénées-Atlantiques) the September 28th of this year. It reappeared then in the arena in 1933, for a short career of '' rejoneador '' stopped as of 1934.

The civil war surprised it with Seville. It lined up then under the nationalist banner and was used as liaison officer to the general Queipo de Llano. It was killed with the combat the December 30th 1936, according to certain sources on the face of Cordoue, according to others with Lopera, on the face of Jaén.

  • Presentation with Madrid: August 31st 1922 at the sides of “Zurito” and “Montañesito”. Novillos of the ganadería of Villamarta.

  • Confirmation of alternative to Madrid: May 8th 1924. Godfather, Manual Jiménez “Chicuelo”; witness, Juan Anlló “Nacional II”. Bulls of the ganadería of Carmen de Federico.
  • First of the Escalafón in 1924.
