Alfred Dubois
Alfred Dubois (born with Molenbeek-Saint-Jean, the November 19th 1898 and deceased in 1949) is a musician and a personality related to the royal Conservatoire of Brussels. It had Eugene Ysaÿe as professor and Arthur Grumiaux as raises. It belongs to the Franco-Belgian school of violin then very flourishing to leaving the guerrre with musicians of talents like Jacques Thibaud, Ginette Neveu, Christian Ferras, and Arthur Grumiaux
Parents originating in Verviers, Alfred Dubois is a very appreciated Violoniste, it maintains with the Grumiaux young person excellent friendly relations and of familiarity and an education gives him which goes beyond the role of a professor. Arthur Grumiaux will be its assistant during eight years and will take again the load of its course to the Academy.
Alfred Dubois founds the quartet Pro Arte during the Second world war. Arthur Grumiaux is then Second violin in this String quartet, and Robert Maas Violoncelliste.
A street of its native commune bears its name.
