Alfred Brazier Howell is a American zoologist , born the July 28th 1886 with Catonsville, Maryland and dead the December 23rd 1961 with Bangor, Maine.
It makes its studies with Yale in 1905 - 1906. In 1910, it goes to California where it starts to study the birds of the Chanel Islands. In 1918, it goes on a scientific journey in Arizona. In 1921, he becomes the vice-president of the ornithological Company Cooper. The following year, it goes to Washington D.C. In 1923 and 1924, it makes excursions of study in California.
Howell works, of 1923 with 1927, as assistant scientists at the biological research service of the the United States. Of 1928 with 1943, it gives courses of Anatomie to the department of anatomy at the medical school of the Université Johns Hopkins.
In 1929, it organizes the Council for the conservation of the whales and other marine mammals. Of 1938 with 1942, he is vice president, then of 1942 with 1944, president in the American Society off Mammalogists.
