Alfred Borel
Alfred Borel , born the September 12th 1902 with Neuchâtel and deceased the July 12th 1997 with Geneva, is a politician Suisse member of the radical-democratic Parti.
Biography
Grandson of the federal adviser Eugene Borel, it becomes lawyer after his license in Droit obtained to the Université of Geneva in 1924.President of the Swiss radical Youth of 1933 with 1935, it is successively city council man Oak-Bougeries (1943 - 1954) and appointed with the Grand the Council Genevese (1936 - 1954, 1961 - 1969).
President of the Genevese Radical party of 1948 with 1951, it is elected to advise of State in 1954 and deals with the department of the state education until in 1961. At this station, it prepares the reform of Genevese secondary education (cycle of orientation) inaugurated by its successor André Chavanne.
It will be also to advise national between 1951 and 1963, to advise in the States between 1963 and 1971, member of the parliamentary Assemblée of the Council of Europe and chair many companies of which the foundation of the Orchestre of the French-speaking Switzerland between 1955 and 1975.
