Alfred Aho
Dr. Alfred V. Aho is a data processing specialist who works in the laboratories Bell; he is professor of data processing at the Columbia university.
He is particularly known to have created the computer programming language Awk with Peter J. Weinberger and Brian Kernighan, and to have written with Ravi Sethi and Jeffrey Ullman the Dragon book , delivers reference in the field of compilation.
It is with Margaret Corasick the creator of the Algorithme of Aho-Corasick published in 1975 and used in the utility Grep available under Unix.
