Holy Alexis of Ugine , or Archpriest Alexis Medvedkov (July 1st 1867 at the village of Fomistchevo (district of Viazma) in Russia - August 22nd 1934 with Ugine (Savoy)) is an orthodoxe saint. Its Fêtes is on August 22nd and on October 13rd.
He was canonized the January 16th 2004 by the Patriarche of Constantinople with four other Russian saints of France. It was the first time since 1054 qu ' an orthodoxe Church canonized a saint having primarily lived in France.
Its body rests since October 13rd 2005 with the orthodoxe monastery of Bussy-in-Othe (Yonne, Burgundy).
