Alexis Wawanoloath
Alexis Wawanoloath is a politician Québécois. At the time of the Québécois general election of 2007, it gained the victory in the district of Abitibi-Is. Since, it represents this one with the National Assembly of Quebec. He was elected under the banner of the Parti Québécois.
Biography
At the time of the general election of 2007, Alexis Wawanoloath beat the liberal candidate-minister outgoing Pierre Corbeil. By doing this, he became the very first indigenous deputy with being elected with the National Assembly. Alexis Wawanoloath is Abénakis from his mother (the artist Christine Sioui-Wawanoloath) and Inhabitant of Quebec originating in the area in Valley-in Or from his father. He had previously sat at the Parliament of the First Nations of Quebec and Labrador as a representative of the Council of the young people of this assembly.
