Alexis Lemaire , born in 1980, is student French in Artificial intelligence of Rheims which holds officially the world records of the mental calculation of the thirteenth Racine of a number of 100 digits, in 13,55 seconds, as well as the official world records of the mental calculation of the thirteenth root of a number of 200 digits, in 72 seconds, calculation presented by some as being most difficult of the human history, before its attempt. Contrary to other calculators which carry out world records but easy to beat, Alexis Lemaire seeks before all the realization of outstanding performances, and the concrete and extremely useful applications in artificial intelligence.

The thirteenth root of a number of 100 digits

The May 10th 2002, with a 13,55 seconds time it beats the record of the Calculateur wonder Willem Klein, which was 88,8 seconds, and also the less official record of Gert Mittring, which was 39 seconds.

The November 23rd 2004, Gert Mittring tried to beat the 13,55, but its 11,8 seconds time will not be approved, the rules of the organization not having been respected.

The December 17th 2004, Alexis Lemaire beats the record with a 3,625 seconds time, reading, posting of the answer and calculation included. It finds the root 13th number with 100 digits: 3893458979352680277349663255651930553265700608215449817188566054427172046103952232604799107453543533, which is: 45792573. This record is however not approved.

The thirteenth root of a number of 200 digits

The April 6th 2005, it mentally calculates the thirteenth root of a number of 200 digits in 8 minutes and 33 seconds with the 742ème number, then beats its own record the June 3rd 2005 in 4 minutes and 27.77 seconds with the 577ème number. These records are official records; a nonofficial calculation in 113 seconds with the 40ème number was carried out the same day in front of official witnesses.

Alexis Lemaire beat his record once again on November 15th, 2007 in 72 seconds by finding the root thirteenth 2.397.207.667.966.701 of a number with 200 digits
