Alexei Yagudin
Alexei Yagudin (born the March 18th 1980 with Leningrad, in Soviet Union) is a artistic skater, 3 times champion of Europe of figure skating, 4 times world champion and Olympic champion in 2002 with Salt Lake City.
In 2002, it made a success of the “large slam”: it gained the Olympic Games, the Championships of the World, the Championships of Europe, the finale of the Grand Prix RESULTING, but not the championship of Russia, for which it was fixed price. It is besides the only title which it misses.
Its rival of always remains Evgeni Plushenko.
Yagudin accepted its first training of skater under Alexei Mishin; at eighteen years, it was exiled with the the United States and followed its formation with Tatiana Tarasova, which remains its trainer today. Nikolai Morozov is its choreographer.
A congenital brittleness of the hip obliged it to withdraw competition in 2003. He was trainer-consultant of the French skater Brian Joubert, and is the trainer of Andrei Griazev (Russia).
