Alexei Cherepanov

Alexei Cherepanov - in Russian АлексейАндреевичЧерепанов - (born the January 15th 1989 with Omsk in Russia) is a player of Hockey. He plays right wing and was chosen by the Rangers of New York at the time of the fishing out of entry in the National league of hockey, 17th on the whole.

Biography

At the age of 15 and 16 years, it evolved/moved for the formation of Avangard-2 and registered 63 points in 33 matches, including 33 goals. The following year, it made the jump in the Russian league elite. It develops at present for the formation of Omsk.

At the time of the season 2006-2007, it produced 29 points in 47 matches. It beat the record for the number of goals for a player of less than 18 years by registering 18 goals. It exceeded prolific “the Russian Rocket ” Pavel Bure and its total of 29 points was better than those of Ilya Kovalchuk, Evgeni Malkin and Alexander Ovechkin at the same age.

He also knew a very good championship of the world junior 2007 and made it possible the Russia to play the final. However, this collective effort was concluded by a defeat against Canadian team. It was named all the same on the first team of stars in company of the guard Carey Price, of the defenders Kristopher Letang and Erik Johnson and of the attackers Jonathan Toews and Patrick Kane. On the other hand, its performance at the time of the championship of the world of less than 18 years was disastrous.

That which was awaited as one of the first five players must have patience to the 17th rank and than the Rangers of New York trust him at the time of the fishing out of entry. The locomotive Russian will not play however for the New Yorkean formation the next season and its case will be perhaps as that of Evgeni Malkin which has to leave of force its team to join the North America. It took part in the Super Series 2007, to pay homage to the Series of the century of 1972.
