Alexei Alexandrovitch Kazakov

Aleksandr Aleksandrovich Kazakov (or Kozakov ) (Russian: АлександрАлександровичКазаков) (January 15th 1889 - August 3rd 1919) was one of largest the ace of Russian aviation of the First World War. It loses the life in its Sopwith Camel, undoubtedly while being sucidant

Due to Russian Revolution of October, we know very few things of this ace to the 17 victories. The man was of imposing stature and high size. It was a noble-hearted man, intelligent and of an iron will. When the war bursts, Kazakov is still useful within an exceeded weapon, but very prestigious and very present in all the armies of the time: cavalry.

Dice 1914, it requires its change in the air weapon and obtains it at once. It is sent to the flying school of Sébastopol and out of spring patented little time afterwards. It consequently starts a career of fighter pilot to the top of the German-Russian face, putting a point of honor to cut down a maximum of German planes. In spite of the absence at the beginning of the conflict, of an embarked armament effective and adapted to the aerial combat, such as the machine-guns with system of shooting through the propeller, the pilot cuts down his first enemy planes.

Its methods of combat are particularly rustic. Thus it attacks an Albatross of recognition, by damaging the unfavourable wing with a hook. In this attack, it misses being crushed on the ground, pulled by the fall of the enemy plane.

At the beginning of 1915, aviation tsarist structure finally and lieutenant Kazakov receives the command of the nineteenth flotilla. One year later, it is with its ninth victory, in the area of Dvinsk. Its victims are mainly Fokker monoplanes of the type E. At the beginning of 1917, the nineteenth flotilla is sent to Iasi, to 300 km in the north of Bucharest. But, the situation in Russia is very strongly degraded. In spite of the Franco-English assistance, the tsar Nicolas I I is constrained to abdicate and the country uses revolutionary agitation. In the Russian rows, it is the rout and German inserts the Russian face. Kazakov must be folded up with its flotilla towards Tarnopol, with five hundred kilometers in the south of Minsk.

It is in this area, that it obtains its seventeenth and ultimate victory, the September 13rd 1917. It is promoted lieutenant-colonel and ordering first air group. But little time after, the revolution Bolshevik bursts and the war against German stops.

March 3rd, 1918, Kazakov joined the army of the Russian white, which fight now against the Bolsheviks of Lénine. The Russian ace manages to forward from the Ukraine, through all Russia in boiling, and manages to join the area of Mourmansk. It takes part in the catch of Arkangelsk, at the side of the English task force come to fight against the Red Army. It is at the time of this ultimate countryside that it disappears.
