Alexandroúpoli
Alexandroúpoli (in Greek modern Αλεξανδρούπολη ), or Alexandroúpolis (in Katharévousa Ἀλεξανδρούπολις ) is a port of the North-East of the Greece, on the Mer of Thrace, in the province of Thrace. It is the chief town of the Nome (prefecture) Évros and counts close to: 50000 inhabitants.
Alexandroúpoli bore the Turkish name of Dedeağaç until in 1920, date of the making of the capacity to the Greek authorities. It was re-elected in the honor of the king Alexandre I {{er}} of Greece.
