Alexandre Petrov

Alexandre Petrov (or Aleksandr Petrov ) is a Dessinateur and Réalisateur of Russian Cartoon film . It was born with Prechistoye (province of Yaroslavl) in 1957.
It made artistic studies, in particular with VGIK (Russian national school of the cinema and TV). He was the pupil of Youri Norstein.
After having carried out its first films in Russia, it is with the Canada that it adapts the novel The Old Man and the Sea . Technically impressive, this film is carried out entirely in oil-base paint on glass. It was largely rewarded, in particular with the Oscars, the Prix Jutra and the International festival of cartoon film of Annecy.
