Alexandre Panon Desbassayns de Richemont
A creole archeologist of the island of the Meeting which discovered the Crypte of Holy-Cecile.
He was elected representing of French India to the National Assembly in 1871.
He intervened on the electoral law and the freedom of higher education. He deposited a proposal for a relative law to the secondary education of the young girls. He was defender of the colonial representation in spite of much of opposition on this subject.
