Armand François d' Allonville is the nephew of Antoine Charles Augustin d' Allonville and the brother of Armand François d' Allonville (1764-1832), count d' Allonville, Brigadier, historian, member of the 1 class of the historical Institute .

Biography
The emigration
At 17 years, it leaves the Collège of Navarre and follows his father who leaves to fight in the armies of the emigrants. It fights in Maastricht besieged by the army of the general Francisco de Miranda with his brothers. It finds in the regiment of infantry with white rosette of Mister the marquis of Autichamp. It must unload with a regiment bearing the name of his father with Quiberon.
Alexandre Louis d' Allonville is used in quality as officer in the regiment Honest-Emigrant, ordered by the count of Châtre, with which it goes to Portugal. He is used then in the regiment as Bourbon. He is quoted by the Viscount of Grouvel: the Brigadier of Allonville, was very active, intelligent, untiring, of a mood charming, and sober, sharing all tirednesses of its men. It serves the cause of the Bourbons until 1797.
With the service of Napoleon
He turns over to France and notes that all the goods of its family were sold like national goods.
After the 18 fructidor Alexandre Louis d' Allonville follows the French forwarding to Egypt, in 1798, with his/her relative the general Dommartin, ordering artillery. He is director of finances of the Campagne of Egypt.
In 1802, it is named in the administration of the fields. For lexandre Louis d' Allonville is used Napoleon, but does not like it. Before the return of the Bourbons, on April 3rd, 1814, he writes a letter which causes the rallying of this administration.
The Restoration
Prefect of the Digs (1814)
Thanks to the abbot of Montesquiou it is named prefect of the department of the Creuse, on April 22nd, 1814, by Its Royal Highness Sir, at the time of the advent of its Majesty Louis XVIII, with the throne . It is relieved in March 1815 by the emperor. It is withdrawn in Vitry where it lives with its family.
It is very royalist and is not the only one there to have these ideas in its family. Even if his/her two uncles died:

one at the time of the combat of the August 10th, 1792.
- the other in the army of Cop, on December 2nd, 1793, with the battle of Berstheim, in Alsace, to save the life of the Duke of Enghien Louis Antoine of Bourbon-Cop.
His/her father is deceased in London on January 24th, 1811, cover of fifteen wounds.
Two of his/her brothers died them-also because of the wars of the Revolution and the Empire; the first, major with the service of Portugal, the second, officer of artillery to the service of England.
Prefect of Ille-et-Vilaine (1815-1817)
July 12th, 1815, with the return of the king, it is named prefect of Ille-et-Vilaine. It must regulate of old conflicts which of anything are not forgotten. The mayor of Saint-Servan writes on February 17th, 1816 to him to ask him for a certificate by which Mrs Gouyon was not striped a list of the emigrants before the peace of 1814.

Alexandre Louis d' Allonville tears off with his brother, Armand François d' Allonville, the general Jean-Pierre Travot with death, in spite of the fact that they do not share his opinions. In spite of this generous attitude, it obtains on February 14th, 1816 the cross of knight of the royal and military Ordre of Saint-Louis. It is true that it threatens also a former mayor, name of Leperdit. The old man opposes a refusal to him, as it had formerly done with Napoleon.
Alexandre-Louis Marie with Armande Marie-Louise d' Allonville d' Oysonville (1794- Paris February 5th, 1877), girl of the count Armand François d' Allonville of Oysonville and Charlotte Vavasseur, on May 9th, 1816. As it is her niece, it obtains exemptions of the Pope and Louis XVIII of France. They have a girl Armande Marie Antoinette who Marie with the count Frederic of Mazis.
Prefect of the Somme (1817-1823)
Alexandre Louis d' Allonville is named prefect of the Somme in 1817. He makes research as an archeologist: Mr. d' Allonville thinks that this camp goes up at the time where César reads to winter its legions in the Belgium . Mr. d' Allonville obtains an audience of Louis XVIII, to ask him of the assistance to finish a channel. He requests of this monarch the ordinance necessary to finish this important company, making it possible to join the the Scheldt and the Oise of the Somme. In 1825, the channel will be inaugurated by the Duchesse of Berry. It is at the origin also of the communal library of Amiens and a case for the people victims of the fires in 1819.
Prefect of the Puy de Dôme (1823-1828)
Louis is prefect of the Puy de Dôme (1823-1828). By a decree Alexandre Louis d' Allonville, on November 22nd, 1824 recognized the Academy of Science, Belles Letters and Arts of Clermont-Ferrand in what it presents of general interest. It revives in 1824 the old literary Company.
Louis publishes in 1828, with Clermont-Ferrand, an interesting essay on the Roman camps of the department of the Sum, followed explanations on the situation of the Gallic cities of Samarobrivie, Bratuspance, etc
Prefect of the Meurthe (department) (1828-1830)
Alexandre Louis d' Allonville is named on April 21st, 1828: prefect of the Meurthe (department), To advise State in extraordinary service. For the statue of Stanislas Leszczyński with Nancy, it chooses the artist, modifies the drawings, makes lengthen the scimitar of the king. According to its wishes, the latter is in Polish national costume, but of Allonville concedes so that it carries a wig.
Alexandre Louis d' Allonville writes an essay on stones legionaries found in the East of France.
He is also named Conseiller State and Officer of the Legion of Honor.

Former prefect he is honorary member of the Company of the antique dealers of Picardy and lives with Maroilles cheese-in-Brie, close Boissy-Saint-Leger.
